The hotel is one of only 30 to appear in the first Michelin Guide in 1911 and still be in it today.

Our Head Chef and kitchen brigade are proud to support Somerset suppliers and endeavour to use seasonal produce sourced within close proximity to the hotel.
Menus change with the seasons. Choose from a relaxed all day menu to a more formal 3 course dinner.
The restaurant 15c A.D. is open for lunch 12noon – 2pm (12.30pm – 2pm Sundays) and for dinner from 7pm – 9.30pm.
During the summer, Swan Terrace (directly opposite Wells Cathedral) and our Walled Garden Café are open for al fresco dining and drinking. 15c A.D. - our award-wining restaurant is open all year round.
The hotel is licensed to hold civil wedding ceremonies and offers private dining for upto 150 guests.
The hotel bar overlooks Wells Cathedral and is open for morning coffee, lunch, afternoon tea and snacks.
The hotel has an impressive gin menu and stocks over 100 gins!
