Peter Walker's Peace Doves

Friday 26th April - Monday 8th June

Thousands of paper doves are suspended above the Nave in Peter Walker's acclaimed Peace Doves touring exhibition, now on display!

There are a number of other activities and events taking place around the Doves, including:
Storytime under the Doves
Hear wonderful stories on a theme of peace while gazing up at the wonderful Peace Doves in the Nave of the Cathedral. There’s no need to book—entry is included with admission to the Cathedral (under 18s go free).

Activity Sheets 
Pick up one of our themed activity sheets and learn more about peace in the Cathedral and in the world today — take it home and make your own Peace Dove!

Evening Openings
See the Peace Doves as night falls at one of our evening openings: Saturday 4 May, Saturday 25 May, and Monday 27 May 2024 (Bank Holiday). The Cathedral will open on these dates from 18.30–20.30 (last entry 20.00).

Birds on the Wing by Caroline Byrne

Monday 20th May - Monday 10th June

Inspired by Peter Walker's Peace Doves, local artist and Cathedral lay minister Caroline Byrne exhibits Birds on the Wing in the South Cloister of the Cathedral. Caroline runs art groups for Charis, working towards a larger exhibition, Sanctuary, in Bath Abbey this June.
